Antibiotic Tracking is a CDC Core Element of Antibiotic Stewardship. In 2018, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) developed the antibiotic start reporting program to help long-term care facilities assess how their antibiotic use compares to other participating facilities in the state.
Now MDPH, in partnership with the Tufts Medical Center Antibiotic Stewardship Center of Excellence, the Boston University Population Health Exchange, and Healthcentric Advisors (a member of the IPRO QIN-QIO) would like to recognize long-term care facilities that have consistently reported to the program, displaying their commitment to antibiotic stewardship.

The Long-Term Care Antibiotic Stewardship Honor Roll recognizes facilities at three levels:
Gold Tier
Facility reported all 24 months of 2021-2022
Silver Tier
Facility reported all 12 months of the last calendar year
Bronze Tier
Facility reported all 3 months of the latest reporting quarter
Any long-term care facility in Massachusetts can begin reporting monthly antibiotic start data to MDPH at any time here.
